The Story OF us
Who We Are
Origin Story
Our movement began with seven disabled women united by a shared vision to advocate for our community. Founded in July of 2024, we were inspired by seeing other communities organize Zoom calls to mobilize voters and support Kamala Harris in the upcoming Presidential election. However, as disabled voters, we noticed a lack of representation and accessibility in these discussions. Our unique needs were not being addressed, and critical issues affecting our community were being overlooked.
This realization led to the creation of Disabled Voters for Harris. We are committed to providing the representation and advocacy that our community needs both before and during this election.
